Fruit Sorbet

Take advantage of in-season fruit!

Its summer fruit season! When you have an abundance of summer fruits in your kitchen, sorbets are definitely the answer. You don't even really need a recipe just a basic template to follow, and some creativity. Mix your favorite fruits and flavors yup, were making all of these this summer! Let me show you just how easy homemade sorbets can be with this step-by-step recipe.

Fruit Sorbet

It's summer fruit season! When you have an abundance of summer fruits in your kitchen, sorbets are definitely the answer. You don't even really need a recipe just a basic template to follow, and some creativity.

Ingredients

8 ounces of fruit of choice (cut into bite-sized or 1 1/2-inch cubes)
3-4 tablespoons maple syrup
A squeeze of lemon juice

Instructions

  1. If using fresh fruit, cut whole fruits into 1/2-inch cubes (except raspberries they can be frozen whole).; Lay out fruit in a single layer on parchment paper-lined baking trays.
  2. Freeze fruits completely. Store in freezer bags.
  3. Weigh out 8 oz frozen fruit (~1 1/3 cup) and place in a small food processor or blender.
  4. Pulse to crush the fruit into small pieces, then add maple syrup 1 tbsp at a time, adjusting for preferred sweetness and texture.
  5. Add a squeeze of lemon (*omit for acidic fruits like pineapple) and run the blender for a few seconds to mix.; Serve immediately or store in the freezer until you're ready.
